Aztec Warrior Foundation is thrilled to announce the establishment of the Aztec Warrior Scholarship, a prestigious award valued at $10,000, aimed at recognizing outstanding students who embody the spirit, dedication, and leadership qualities represented by our beloved Aztec Warrior.

The Aztec Warrior Scholarship is designed to honor students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to promoting school pride, fostering community spirit, and representing the values of courage, integrity, and excellence both on and off the field. This scholarship celebrates the significant contributions of our Aztec Warrior in inspiring unity, enthusiasm, and pride among students, faculty, and fans.

"San Diego community deeply values the role of our Aztec Warrior in fostering school spirit and promoting a sense of belonging within our community," said Carlos Gutierrez. "Through the establishment of the Aztec Warrior Scholarship, we aim to recognize and support students who exemplify the same passion, dedication, and commitment to our school's values."

The $10,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving student who meets the following criteria:

• Demonstrated involvement in promoting Aztec Warrior spirit and unity.

• Active participation in school activities, events, or athletics.

• Strong academic performance and leadership qualities.

• Commitment to upholding the values and traditions of Aztecs.

Aztec Warrior Minority Student Scholarhip Fund

Aztec Warrior Minority Student Scholarship Fund is a California based 501c3 dedicated to preserving the rich historical connection between San Diego State University and Aztecs.   We will achieve this goal by providing scholarships to students and organizations on campus.  San Diego State athletics were represented by a human Aztec Warrior for decades as a strong symbol of these connections.   Aztec Warrior is universally loved by students, alums and local community, including Native American tribes.
